Uwell is known as its great pod kits like Uwell Caliburn and Uwell Caliburn Koko, which are also the Top 10 pod devices in 2020. The Uwell Crown Pod System is a portable and modern vape device from the popular crown family. It integrates the large 1250mAh built-in battery with a dual parallel coil structure with airflow control to deliver both MTL and DTL vape. It is both draw-activated and button-activated. The Gothic pattern and sleek edges are attractive and feel comfortable in hands. There are two different cartridges in the kit - a 0.6ohm pod for restricted DTL vape and a 1.0ohm pod for MTL vape. You can fill it with either regular juice or nic salt. The parallel coils design will bring you the pure flavor with dense cloud, and smooth throat hit.

Build Quality and Design of Uwell Crown Pod System
The Uwell Crown Pod kit is a tiny and lightweight device. It measures only 95.6mm x 30mm x 18mm and weighs 62.50g, which is smaller and lighter than most pod devices on the market. The 1250mAh battery capacity is large enough for a portable vape pod.
Crafted from the sturdy and lightweight aluminum alloy, the Crown pod system is drop-resistant and impact-resistant. The base of the Crown is made of plastic, that’s where the Micro USB charging port is. The body is streamlined and flat-tipped. The matte finish with a strip of Royal pattern on the front and back makes the Crown looks well in light and makes a great visual impression. There are no extra adjustment buttons. It is perfect for those who are looking for an exquisite, easy-to-use pod device
The top filling system with a magnetic connection makes refilling a breeze without leaking. The pod cartridge is dark-tinted, which is hard to view the juice level. The airflow slots on the side of the 3ml pod cartridge allow you to dial the optimal airflow rate for both MTL and DTL vape. It can use a 1.2ohm pod with nic salt and a 0.6ohm pod with freebase vape juice.
Uwell Crown Pod System Performance
The Uwell Crown Pod System is powered by a large 1250mAh battery, which provides sufficient battery life for an entire day. Compare to the 520mAh battery of Caliburn and Caliburn Koko pod kits, the Crown gets a great improvement in battery life. I did 2 days of vaping with the 1.0ohm pod before needing to charge. So you will never worry about battery life when you are out. It can be fully charged via a micro USB port in 40min. The LED indicator on the front shows the battery level. It will flash the red light 10 times when the battery is going to drain.
- Green light – Battery over 60%
- Blue light – Battery between 30% and 60%
- Red light – Battery below 30%
The Uwell Crown Pod System comes with the advanced Pro-FOCS flavor technology, which controls the heating temperature and restores the juice flavor for better vape experience. There is a sub-ohm pod in the kit, but the Crown is not a multipurpose device. The maximum power output is only 25W. I recommend you to use the Crown system as an MTL only device, focusing on flavor restoring. It is a smooth, flavorful entry-level pod mod system, which delivers a satisfying vape.
Uwell Crown Pod Cartridge
The Uwell Crown Pod Kit comes with two different pods - 0.6ohm red pod for restricted DTL vape and 1.0ohm black pod for MTL vape. The 3ml pod is refillable via the top filling port, but the coil is non-replaceable, which means you have to buy a new pod when you get the coil burnt.
You will find the recommended wattage on the base of the pod, which is very convenient. The juice window is tinted, you may find difficult to check the juice level. The airflow control slider on the side of the pod allows you to adjust the airflow for a tight cigarette-like draw or looser satisfying clouds. The mouthpiece is removable, which fits your lip perfectly. You can easily remove it by your thumb. There is a small filling port and a hole to allow air to escape while refilling.
How to Fill the Uwell Crown Pod:
- Remove the mouthpiece
- Fill your favorite vape juice (nic salt for 1.0ohm pod, high VG juice for 0..6ohm pod)
- Push back the mouthpiece
- Wait at least 5min to get the coil fully saturated

What’s the difference?
The Caliburn and Caliburn Koko are almost the same pods but feature a different shape. The Caliburn is slim and thin while the Koko is square-shaped. The new Crown is a little bit larger than its predecessors due to the improvement of battery capacity.
The Crown has the adjustable airflow with a sliding switch for better vape experience. The mouthpiece tip of the Crown is different from the Caliburn and Koko. It is duck-billed, which is similar to the SMOK Nord.
The vape draw is also different. The Uwell Crown is claimed to provide both MTL and DTL vape. While the Caliburn and Koko only provide the MTL draw.
Which is the Best?
The Uwell Crown has a larger battery, more power, and larger vape juice capacity and features the adjustable airflow. I think the Uwell Crown is the best one among the 3 devices. But if you prefer a more compact and easier vape device, the Caliburn and Koko will hit the spot.
