Vaporesso GTX One Kit Review: Super Sexy and Portable for MTL Vapers [June, 2020]

The Vaporesso GTX One Kit is the latest release designed for MTL vapers. It gets an elegant design and comes in multiple colors. The GTX One powered by a built-in 2000mAh battery with a smart AXON chip will fire at up to 40W. It has a 0.69-inch beautiful OLED display, and top-notch machining and finish throughout. It seems heavily influenced by the finish of the Gen mods and Swag 2 with the anti-skid and anti-scratch coating. The adjustable power combines with the adjustable airflow of the GTX Tank 18 brings satisfying MTL vape experience.

I’ve always loved Vaporesso devices. They have consistently released some solid, reliable, and noteworthy hardware for quite a while, which have full features and are simple to use. So I am going into the GTX One review with high expectations. One thing is for sure, Vaporesso have certainly made a super sexy looking device in the GTX One and it offers excellent power, great portability, and simplicity all rolled into one.

The GTX One comes in 6 colors and the color which I received is black. As always, I will give you my own honest opinion of this device. Let’s see if the GTX One has the potential to be the best vape kit for MTL vapers in 2020.

The build quality of the Vaporesso GTX One was excellent, simply top quality. The GTX One stands at 127.5mm tall with the tank attached, which fits my palm nicely. The zinc-aluminum alloy chassis goes around a soft-touch rubberized coating, which gives the GTX One a unique tactile and super slick feel. The mesh-like pattern makes it very comfortable to hold and less likely to slip out of your hand. I have to admit I just like to keep stroking the paint because it feels so nice! I found the metal part attracts fingerprint easily but nothing too serious. The branding Vaporesso and model name are engraved on one side.

The styling of GTX One is very compact and minimal. The shape and size are perfect. The mod is super lightweight. Attaching the paired GTX Tank 18 to the gold-plated 510-connection up top gives the unit a little more heft. The GTX Tank is not entirely flush with the top section. When the 26mm in diameter tank attached, there was no overhang at all! On the bottom of the mod, you can see the battery information and venting ports.

Like most of the pod devices, the GTX One uses a three-button interface making the user experience much more straightforward and easier. The round fire button is clicky and comfortable to use with either your thumb or your index finger. The 0.96-inch screen in black and white is nothing fancy. The readouts are large and clear.

Vaporesso’s build quality has never disappointed me. Everything feels solid and well-crafted. There’s very little movement to the buttons and they don’t rattle at all during the test. The Type-C port at the base of the front panel provides 2A fast charging. As I said, nothing too fancy but more than good enough.

Vaporesso GTX One kit comes with the GTX Tank 18 that uses the popular GTX coil series. The kit includes two coils, which are rated for either 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm respectively. Both of the coils are the mesh-style atomizers and use the antibacterial cotton for fresh flavor.

The GTX Tank 18 get an 18.5mm small base diameter and looks well on the GTX One mod. There are some triangular notches on the top cap and the bottom airflow control ring for styling and grip. The branding Vaporesso is printed on the top cap. The tank holds 3ml of e-liquid and comes with a black 510 drip tip, which is comfortable and non-removable. It features five bottom airflow holes that are fully adjustable to maximum your MTL vaping satisfaction. Vaporesso said it also supports a restricted DTL vape.

The GTX Tank 18 uses a threaded top cap that you unscrew to fill the tank. The filling port is very large so there are no issues with filling. There is also no leaking or spillage during testing. The silicone ring underside of the top cap ensures a tight seal to prevent vape juice from escaping.

The GTX coil series is used already in several Vaporesso kits including the PM80 SE and PM30 kits. There are 4 options to choose from for the GTX One kit:

The GTX One is a button-activated device with an accurate AXON chip for variable wattage. To get started, prime your coil with 4-5 drops of e-liquid and push it inside the tank from the bottom. Remove the top cap, fill the tank with your desired vape juice, and set the device aside for at least five minutes to get the coil fully saturated.

The operation of the Vaporesso GTX One is pretty easy and straightforward.

• Five clicks of the fire button to turn on or turn off the device
• Use the Up and Down buttons to adjust the wattage, long press for quick adjustment
• Three clicks of the fire button to lock the Up and Down Buttons
• Hold the fire button to start vaping
• Press the Up and Down buttons at the same time to enter the menu

The AXON chip provides multiple safety features like short circuit protection, low/high resistance protection, non-load protection and more to ensure your safe vape. The 2000mAh large battery offers a full day vape with moderate usage, which is charged at 2A via the Type-C USB port.

The Vaporesso GTX One is a good looking device and feel of it is excellent. Vaporesso did a good job with the design and styling while also ensuring that it performs at a high level. The AXON chipset brings the variable wattage mode and safety features. The GTX Tank 18 isn’t anything special but the top-filling design and adjustable airflow control are easy to use. You can just grab the mod if you already have a tank.

If you are looking for your first kit or a more portable device, the Vaporesso GTX One is a great choice. I really love its design and the rubberized coating.
